MY Top 3 Amazing Fall Inspired Drinks

If, like me, your favourite thing about Autumn/Fall, is getting wrapped up in coat, scarf and boots and heading out for the day…

For us, the first stop is always a coffee shop. I have no absolutely no loyalty here and will go to the first one I see. Now as I’ve mentioned before, I’m a bit basic, so I always go for the popular choices eg.. pumpkin spice latte, gingerbread latte, chai latte, black forest hot choc, Amaretto hot choc and I have to say, I am yet to be disappointed with Costa or Starbucks, though I love Coffee #1 for any standard coffee.

This being said, my husband and I had a bit of a shock when we decided to check our bank statement, to see what our ‘spare’ income gets spent on, and it turns out that a lot of it goes to coffee chains ( oops ).

So.. I decided to have a go at making some delicious, Autumnal drinks to enjoy at home or pop into a travel cup to take out, using what I have at home already!

These are my top 3, and boy are they good!

1. Inspired by the Baileys advert I made a Pumpkin spice latte –

What you need:

50mls Baileys pumpkin spice

150mls coffee

50mls hot milk

Squirty cream

Cinnamon

What you do:

Pour the coffee into a cup of your choice, add the Baileys, then pour in milk to fill the cup.

Spray on as much cream as you like and sprinkle with cinnamon – Enjoy!

2. Amaretto Iced Coffee

What you need:

35mls Amaretto

Coffee

Ice

What you do:

Brew a strong coffee, pour amaretto into a jar and add the hot coffee, allow to cool and refrigerate – when cold, take out, add lots of ice, stir and devour!

3. Whittards white, hot chocolate

What you need :

3 Table spoons of hot chocolate powder ( any will do, so pick you own fave )

300mls of hot milk ( do not boil ) – this will make enough for 2.

1/4 tsp vanilla

A dash of nutmeg

Squirty cream

Crushed malteasers

Giant marshmallow ( of course any size will do, but we’re pigs )

What you do:

Heat milk, you want it hot, but don’t let it boil. Add in the vanilla and choc powder and whisk until well mixed – add in the nutmeg ( you might want to omit the nutmeg if not using white choc ), stir and pour into glasses.. spray on cream, sprinkle on the crushed malteasers and plop on a mallow ( or 2 ).

You will not be disappointed!

These are all so quick and easy, which let’s face it, we all want, and they taste amazing.

Let me know if you try any of them.

T xx
